Bothersome Bouquets

Notice a difference between the two brides in the first row and the brides in the second? The top two brides have perfectly placed bouquets as they walk down the aisle: at or below their waist. The ladies in the bottom row are holding their bouquets so high that it obstructs their face as they walk down the aisle. Don’t let this happen to you!

Brava!! Brides don’t hear this enough. When a bride gets nervous, her arms bend and the bouquet floats upward. Properly carried, the bouquet should be at waist or lower. The forearms resting comfortably on this hips will put the bouquet in its correct position. Brides should also remember that a bouquet right in front of the belly is often a signal that the wedding “had to happen” and the bouquet is a belly-bump cover. A girl’s waistline is rarely as narrow as on her wedding day… time takes its toll. So, show off that figure and all the bodice details! Thanks for sharing this.

I almost think bouquets should be a non essential at weddings? Like a bride should have the option to omit having a bouquet at all. (Kind of how I prefer birdcage veil over the traditional long ones)

I feel like they are quite bothersome, almost feel like an obligation to carry. I personally, just want to make my way down the isle, with my father and not worry about an additional weight, something which might not only obstruct a view of my face but potentially prick or scratch me. Would be interested what other people think?
