Pictures: Before or After?
December 8, 2008
Ok brides…here’s an important question that requires your advice! What are your thoughts on pictures – before or after the ceremony? Should you take pictures before the ceremony and sacrifice the “seeing her walk down the aisle” moment? OR should you take pictures after the ceremony and miss some of the cocktail hour?
What do you think?
I’ve posted about this very thing too (http://imaynotbefamous.blogspot.com/2008/09/to-see-or-not-to-see.html) and ultimately although my FH was against it, it just made more sense for our afternoon/evening wedding to see each other before-timing issues, sunset issues (lighting) and etc… I think we’re almost 100% set on that! I also think our “moment” to see one another would be better captured if alone and probably help our nerves a bit too
AHH! I am *SO* undecided about this!

I think the Bride & Groom should see one another before the ceremony, have that moment captured, have a few moments alone then with the rest of the bridal party. The feedback I get from Brides and Grooms is that it really takes the edge off and is a great time saver in the whole scheme of things.
I am all about before. We see each other every day, what’s there to jinx at this point? I want to enjoy every moment of my wedding and not rush through pictures. I know myself. I will be so concerned with rushing back to the party, my pictures will probably suck due to lack of focus.
We did our pictures pre-wedding and it was so nice to have it done without rushing to get back to our guests. We still had the WOW meeting for the first time moment but it just wasn’t in front of a million guests. I think we were both more relaxed for the ceremony too.
