Travel has played a huge part in Danny & Tanvi’s relationship. From their serendipitous meeting at a friend’s New Years Eve party in Miami to their back-and-forth flights from Florida to New York and their love of world travel, I knew it was the perfect inspiration for their New York City proposal story. Hundreds of handmade paper planes surrounded a backdrop of a world map, each featuring a single memory of their travels together. Stacks of their travel photos were printed in a vintage sepia hue and bound together with simple baker’s twine. Antique trunks and the penthouse at Eventi rounded out the dream backdrop. An acoustic guitarist played their song “You are my Sunshine” as Danny proposed and the happy couple enjoyed a private dinner at the famed Le Bernardin restaurant to celebrate. Thank you to Mariann from Blue Daisy for the spectacular photos and to Props for Today for some great vintage finds, don’t miss the video of their special moment!
After a dream dinner at Le Bernardin, Danny & Tanvi returned to their suite to find the final details of their proposal. Awaiting in the penthouse was a silver compass and a leather-bound journal enscribed with their names and the phrase “To a lifetime of adventures together.” We selected a compass to symbolize that no matter where they were, the compass would help them find their love. The journal is to record their future adventures – starting with writing down their proposal story. A fantastic way to remember a dream engagement for the rest of their lives.
Congratulations Danny & Tanvi!
