We love to get creative with our escort card ideas! Here are just a few that we’ve done recently that have been huge hits.
Left to Right and Top to Bottom: Sharone and Elan had giant flower-filled walls by The Arrangement with hanging ribbon to display their table assignments. Anca and Nate opted for a sophisticated yet simple floral display by Rountree Flowers of single blooms in crystal vases and delicate cards. Alena and Andrew embraced the tropics with drink flags in hibiscus-infused margaritas at the start of cocktail hour. Sabrina and Matt’s farm-to-table wedding was complete with mixed metal farm figurines connected with magnets to hold each card in a standing position. Abbie and Joon’s library-inspired wedding featured wooden bookcases perfectly styled to hold their calligraphed books indicating the seating assignments. Heather & Chris’s guests went nuts for rectangular boxes of M&M’s (her favorite candy) displayed in a color-blocking style while Carolyn & Matt gave a nod to the antique bank atmosphere by doing a key and a vintaged tag. Finally, Petra & Chris kicked off the festivities in a genuinely Mexican fashion with Don Julio mini tequilas.

Alena & Andrew were such a relaxed couple to work with – they made planning their wedding a breeze! The couple chose the Banyan Tree Mayakoba in Riviera Maya, Mexico for their destination wedding. Picking this resort for their big day was a no-brainer as they had vacationed there with their families many times in the past. The couple was very laid-back and wanted this to be reflected throughout their wedding weekend. Alena picked a bright, coral color for her touchpoint and we went from there with decor. Their guests’ names and table numbers were written on drink flags placed in festive watermelon-habanero margaritas to get the night off to a spicy start! The reception tables were decorated with lanterns and the floral arrangements were meant to look “undone”, again reflecting the relaxed theme. Guests dined on locally-inspired fare all weekend and danced the night away under the stars.
We are super excited to have Alena & Andrew’s wedding featured on Jet Fete, an amazing destination wedding blog.

Congratulations Alena & Andrew

Shu & Ed were such a fun couple to work with! Their wedding took place at The Garrison, a lush, 300-acre property in the Hudson Valley. The couple held two ceremonies: one traditional American and one tea ceremony in the Chinese tradition. The bride wore two different dresses, a flowing white gown for the first ceremony, and a striking, red, lace dress for the second. In keeping with the rustic location, all of the signs for the wedding were beautifully done in chalk including the menus and program for the evening. The couple made their escort cards into a fun game for guests. Each card had the guest’s name and two clues on it. Guests were challenged to match their clues to a table chart with different places significant to the couple’s relationship with the guest. Once seated, guests enjoyed dinner under flickering candle light with the stunning Hudson Valley hills as a backdrop. Guests went home at the end of the night with gourmet ice cream sandwiches from CoolHaus.
We are excited to announce that Shu & Ed’s wedding was chosen to be featured on Junebug Weddings!

We were thrilled to plan Chris and Petra’s wedding after working with Chris on his beautiful, heartfelt proposal. Not only did we work with this fabulous couple on their proposal, we also planned Petra’s brother’s wedding (Britten & AJ) last year. There’s nothing better than the chance to work with the same family on multiple occasions, we are honored to have had the opportunity to be a part of so many special family moments! The couple was married at the lush Banyan Tree Mayakoba Hotel in Playa Del Carmen, Mexico. The ceremony took place under a billowing, draped canopy decorated with a crystal chandelier. After a romantic reading from Emily Bronte’s Jane Eyre the couple said their “I Do’s” and the party moved to palapas on the beach for an oceanfront meal. Guests dined on fresh, Mexican-inspired food and danced the night away in the warm breeze from the Caribbean Sea. When the night ended, guests left with funny photobooth pictures and miniature bottles of tequila to keep the party going! Congratulations Petra & Chris!
We are thrilled that Petra & Chris’ wedding was chosen to be featured on Carats & Cake! Check out the post here.

Britten and AJ couldn’t have been more of an amazing couple to work with! Their wedding took place in beautiful Tuxedo Park New York. After exchanging ‘I Do’s’ at their church ceremony it was off to the reception. A stunning waterfront reception combined with an exquisite look created by candles, chandeliers and elegance. During cocktail hour, guests arrived to a pianist playing a grand piano and as the sun set on the lake, the guests were invited inside for dinner and dancing. A few special tables remained on the stone porch with prime views of the sunset. Everyone danced the night away, and all were especially entertained by the photo booth, a special surprise that Britten had arranged for AJ! When the night had ended guests were given a bottle of custom-labeled wine as their favor with a lovely bottle carrier. We were also thrilled to have their wedding featured on Carats & Cake! Check out the post here. Congratulations Britten and AJ.

It was a beautiful and traditional wedding at the NY Palace. Diane and Seb who are big traveler’s, decided to stay local and tie the knot in New York City. The couple exchanged vows during their elegant church ceremony, followed by a classic New York portrait session in Central Park. Later, the couple pulled up to their reception in a vintage car! They shared their first dance to Shania Twain’s, From this Moment, and from there on it was pure celebration. There were glow sticks for the dance floor, and flip-flops of all sizes so that guests never had to stop dancing. Diane and Seb cut into one of Ron-Ben Israel’s scrumptious cake creations, and even had a Macaron Tower cake that everyone wanted a piece of! It was a perfect day for these lovebirds! Congratulations Diane and Seb!

After being fortunate enough to plan Greg’s Proposal to Danielle, it was such a treat to then help plan their big day! They settled on a destination wedding in Riviera Maya, Mexico, and went for an all white color palette. They couple chose to have the bridal party just consist of the Maid of Honor and Best Man, which perfectly were Greg’s two kids. The whole day expressed pure beach elegance. Danielle walked down a white aisle runner as Canon in D played, and an abundance of star lights hung over the dance floor where the couple shared their first dance as Bride and Groom to Jason Alden’s song Heaven. To keep with the festive and beachy feeling, the couple offered their guests mini bottles of tequila as their escort cards and take home favors, which were a big hit! Congratulations Danielle and Greg!

Liz and Chris we an amazing couple to work with! They truly wanted to create an unforgettable day, and make sure that all of their friends and family had the best time of their lives. The lovely couple decided to host on a beautiful evening in New Jersey at Chris’s hometown Country Club. The attention to all details allowed for it to be a flawless and sophisticated Wedding. Although they were in New Jersey, Liz and Chris made sure to pay homage to their current hometown, New York City. During cocktail hour guests were able to sip on drinks decorated by New York Giants and New York Yankees drink stirrers, and when they made their way over to the reception, instead of traditional table numbers, each table was labeled with one of the couple’s favorite NYC spot’s. They had a beautiful tented reception accompanied by a maple wood dance floor, and lush floral arrangements were everywhere. The night was concluded with a sparkler send off for the Bride and Groom! We were thrilled to have Liz and Chris’s Wedding featured on Style Me Pretty. If you missed it, make sure to check it out here. Congratulations Liz and Chris!

Even on the most beautiful day a bride can become distressed, so you can imagine how impressed I was by Laili’s upbeat and refreshingly relaxed demeanor on her wedding day, which happened to be the same day Hurricane Irene shut down Manhattan. Public transportation may not have been working, but this didn’t stop Laili and Paul, who live in Geneva, Switzerland, or their guests from making it to their gorgeous afternoon ceremony at St. Patrick’s Cathedral. The couple and their guests braved the coastal winds and headed to the Prince George Ballroom for the reception. Laili is an interior designer and her design aesthetic is represented all throughout the sophisticated blue and orange decor. Laili and Paul were introduced as husband and wife to the sounds of “Signed, Sealed, Delivered I’m Yours” by Stevie Wonder and Laili, who is of Persian heritage, shared a traditional Persian dance with her father. No amount of rain or wind could have stopped the joyous feeling surrounding Laili and Paul’s wedding day. Congratulations Laili and Paul!
Thanks to Jeff Tisman for the stunning photos.
Gemma and Scott originally hail from England and Australia, but wanted a New York wedding to show their out-of-town family and friends what the Big Apple is all about. They exchanged their vows at Calvary-St. George’s Church before hopping into a vintage taxi that took them to meet their closest friends and family at the Gramercy Park Hotel. Upon entering the terrace, guests stepped into an enchanted garden. Beneath the romantic lights and greenery, pastel blooms were dispersed along the tables. But, even in this dream-like setting, the city was ever present. Traditional table numbers were replaced by pictures of places in NYC that were special to Gemma and Scott and guests soon danced to classic NY songs, as boas and beads were brought to the dance floor. Even the top tier of their cake was elegantly decorated with the city skyline!
Despite all the big city details, Gemma and Scott did not forget where they came from. Their wedding color, violet, was chosen to honor a grandmother who couldn’t make the journey to New York, while the roses in Gemma’s bouquet honored another grandparent. The British and Australian flags on the front of their taxi were yet another cute way to remember their roots.
At the end of the night, guests took home violet boxes of chocolate from Vosges, the couples’ favorite SoHo chocolate shop. Gemma and Scott’s wedding so perfectly used cute details to blend past and present, that we can’t help but love it. Congratulations Gemma and Scott!
