Jackie and Andrew’s January wedding day began with a ton of sunshine, despite the chilly temperatures. After spending the morning getting ready at the Trump SoHo Hotel, the two strolled across the street to City Winery in TriBeCa for a dazzling ceremony and reception.
Honoring both heritages, Jackie and Andrew melded a traditional Jewish ceremony with a Japanese Tea ceremony, while saying their I-Do’s under a custom Chuppah.
While guests snapped photos for the guestbook during cocktail hour, the ceremony space was converted to the reception space, filled with twinkling lights and oversized ranunculus. Our couple and their guests danced the night away to tunes from Dexter Lake Club Band – covers of the Beach Boys and the Beatles were in no short supply. Guests dined at tables that had been made glamorous by Blade Floral and Event Designs and later, enjoyed late night pizza delivery to keep their energy up on the dance floor.
Perhaps the most special moment of the night was when the newlyweds snuck away for a silent cake cutting, which kept the party rolling and allowed our couple a memorable moment for just the two of them to share.
As a final nod to Jackie’s roots, guests departed with red Chinese Takeout containers filled with fortune cookies. We loved these personal touches from the bride and groom, which made their night truly brilliant!
Congratulations to Jackie and Andrew!

Designing Anna and Chris’ gorgeous winter wedding was nothing short of fun! The happy couple was married at University Club in late December of last year. The bride, dressed to perfection in a strapless beaded gown, stunned their guests as she walked down the aisle to “Jurassic Park”. In order to include family and friends in their ceremony, each guest received their own breaking glass and joined the happy newlyweds in the tradition of breaking the glass!
Later, as guests entered the reception space, they marveled at the custom table numbers, that Anna’s dad sketched by hand just for their wedding! The bride and groom shared their first dance to an acoustic version of Avicii’s “Wake Me Up”, which artfully faded into the real deal, bringing guests onto the dance floor.
After dancing much of the night away, the guests and bridal party continued their festivities with a champagne pour and enjoyed specialty desserts from famous restaurants around the city! The end of the night didn’t disappoint either – each guest received a tiny bouquet of flowers, hand-wrapped with a custom sticker, as they made their way to the after party. Congratulations Anna and Chris!

I recently had the pleasure of chatting with Four Seasons Magazine about wedding favors and how to make them stand out. From memorable to personal, there’s a suggestion here for everyone! To check out the whole article, head over to The Four Seasons Magazine.
Abbie & Joon were so much fun to work with because they gave us complete creative freedom! Both the bride and the groom are scientists and wanted to incorporate their passions into their special day. They chose to hold their wedding in a library and special library lamps were brought in to further set the scene. The couple’s escort cards were miniature books that included their love story – written by a former New York Times writer! Each book also contained a “library card” on which guests could write a piece of advice for the couple to add to their “card catalogue”. The couple chose to have two specialty cocktails. The groom’s cocktail was served in beakers and the bride’s in English-style tea cups to represent her British upbringing. At the end of the night, guests were treated to an amazing dessert display: an enormous, custom-made periodic table of elements made of macaroons! After guests signed the couple’s globe guestbook, they grabbed test tubes full of chocolate to take home as a favor.
We are so honored and excited to have Abbie & Joon’s wedding featured in the New York Magazine’s fall wedding issue! Pick up a copy of the magazine to see the full article.
Congratulations to Abbie & Joon!
A huge thanks to Brian Dorsey Studios for the unbelievable photographs!
Christina & David got a perfect day in June for their wedding! The bride rode in style in a vintage Rolls Royce to the church for their ceremony at St. Francis Xavier. After a heartfelt ceremony, the couple hopped back in the Rolls and headed to their reception at Cipriani 42nd Street. The bride stunned guests when she changed into a gorgeous, trendy white jumpsuit for the party. Guests dined on delicious Italian fare and partied on a dancefloor custom made for the couple. After his speech, the bride’s father sang a beautiful, not to mention impressive, song in honor of his daughter’s marriage. At the end of the night, guests left with hand-painted ceramic plates that the bride’s Italian mother commissioned just for her daughter’s special day. What a beautiful family affair!
Congratulations to Christina & David!

Heather and Chris were such a fun couple to work with and incorporated so many unique and creative ideas into their wedding. The ceremony was held on the rooftop of Skylight West featuring breathtaking views of the surrounding Manhattan skyline. The couple wanted the space to feel “happy”, so bright yellow rose petals lined the aisle and whimsical topiaries with lush bouquets of roses served as altar décor. Pashminas, serving as chair covers, could also be used by guests to keep warm during the ceremony. As self-proclaimed “foodies”, the couple wanted to draw on their love of food and fine dining to create a unique reception for their guests. Banquettes along with different sized tables were set up the make the space feel like a posh New York restaurant. The couple even had cell phone chargers set up in the reception so that guests could keep snapping pictures all night long. We were thrilled to have our couple’s beautiful wedding featured on Carats & Cake. Check out the post here. Congratulations Heather and Chris!

Kimberly and Bill’s down to earth personalities made planning their wedding so much fun. Kimberly and Bill were married in early April on the rooftop of the Bryant Park Grill overlooking the beautiful park. Following with their New York City venue, guests were treated like true New Yorkers with personalized taxi cab escort cards. You could feel the love between Kimberly and Bill as they started their night off with a first dance to “Just The Way You Are” by Billy Joel. The rest of the night was spent dancing, eating, drinking and laughing with friends and family. To finish off the night, each guest was given a freshly baked, late night pretzel as they exited the venue. Congratulations Kimberly and Bill!
Morgan and Bud had the perfect day for their beautiful October wedding in New York City. The day started at the stunning St. Ignatius Loyola church where the couple had a traditional ceremony in front of family and friends. After the ceremony the newlyweds headed to Central Park where they beamed in their first pictures as man and wife. From there the party got started at the Pierre Hotel. As guests entered the room the infectious band played “Suit and Tie” by Justin Timberlake, setting the tone for the all night celebration ahead. Guest ate, drank and danced all through the night, and Morgan and Bud couldn’t have looked more in love. Congratulations!
And now we are so excited to be planning Morgan’s sisters wedding for the fall of 2014!
Classical elegance touched every aspect of Stephanie and Joe’s wedding. The day started at St. James church where the couple had a beautiful traditional ceremony. A vintage London cab car then whisked the newly weds of to central park where they posed for the first time as husband and wife. The celebration continued at the ballroom of the Yale Club where old world charm added to the ambiance of the night. The reception was decorated with touches of silver and gold, with displays of amber, cream and coral roses on every table. Congratulations Stephanie and Joe!

It was a beautiful and traditional wedding at the NY Palace. Diane and Seb who are big traveler’s, decided to stay local and tie the knot in New York City. The couple exchanged vows during their elegant church ceremony, followed by a classic New York portrait session in Central Park. Later, the couple pulled up to their reception in a vintage car! They shared their first dance to Shania Twain’s, From this Moment, and from there on it was pure celebration. There were glow sticks for the dance floor, and flip-flops of all sizes so that guests never had to stop dancing. Diane and Seb cut into one of Ron-Ben Israel’s scrumptious cake creations, and even had a Macaron Tower cake that everyone wanted a piece of! It was a perfect day for these lovebirds! Congratulations Diane and Seb!
