A Brilliant Wedding: Liz and Jon

We love a classic NYC wedding and nothing is more New York than a wedding at the Rainbow Room. Liz and Jon's unforgettable wedding is just about as timeless and essential New York Cityas it gets!

Liz got ready for the big day at the timeless Lotte NY Palace. Her dress was a stunning illusion neckline gown by Amsale. She paired it with classic Jimmy Choos and an elegant chignon for her hair - but she let it down later for the party! Before we knew it - Liz was off to her first look with Jon! The two of them took a few shots in front of the hotel and then walked the streets of NYC to get some classic New York photos.

The couple was married at one of the most beautiful churches in the city - St. Ignatius Loyola! Deacon Paul Jennings and Father Hilbert officiated and later, at the reception, he performed a blessing over the guests before their meal commenced.

As soon as they said "I do", the bride and groom exited the ceremony in style in a Phantom Rolls Royce with "Just Married" scrolled on the back window and they were off to the reception!

The room was decorated in a refined blush and ivory palette, with acrylic and crystal accents - all perfectly put together by our friends at Belle Fleur. Liz and Jon had a grand entrance to the reception down the staircase and onto the rotating dance floor (yes, the dance floor itself turns!) for their first dance! Later in the evening, they played the "anniversary game" instead of doing a traditional bouquet toss. They invited all couples to join them on the dance floor and the emcee then asked couples to leave the floor based on how long they had been married. They started with one day for the newlyweds and moved on until there was only one couple left - the bride's grandparents! They had known all along that they would "win" having been married 66 years!

The dancing really kicked off and John Ballesteros of Vali Entertainment crooned all night long with vocals that rival Sinatra himself! Later on, Liz and Jon cut their wedding cake. They were lucky to have had one of Sylvia Weinstock's last confectionary creations before she retired!

At the end of the night, a final sweet treat was in store for guests! The couple handed out Donuttery donut bites as guests left the party! Congratulations, Liz and Jon, and thank you to the dream team of vendors that made their wedding so perfect!
